With the California Foodservice Instant Rebates Program, California Investor Owned Utility (IOU)* customers can get valuable Instant Rebates on qualifying energy-efficient equipment for their businesses.
You can skip the paperwork and receive an Instant Rebate as a discount directly on your invoice when you purchase qualifying high-efficiency natural gas or electric commercial foodservice equipment from participating dealers.
Qualifying equipment must be installed at a non-residential site that receives natural gas and/or electricity service from one or more of the California IOUs.
*The California IOUs are SoCalGas®, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E®), Southern California Edison Company (SCE®) and San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E®).

All SoCalGas, PG&E, SCE, and SDG&E non-residential customers are eligible to receive Instant Rebates. Equipment must be installed in a non-residential site that receives natural gas and/or electricity service from one of the California IOUs.
Customers purchasing electric equipment must have a non-residential electric account with one of the California IOUs.
Customers purchasing natural gas equipment must have a non-residential natural gas account with one of the California IOUs.
Many common makes and models of commercial foodservice equipment qualify for the California Foodservice Instant Rebates Program. Qualifying equipment must be installed at a non-residential site that receives natural gas and/or electricity service from SoCalGas, PG&E, SCE, or SDG&E.

The California Foodservice Instant Rebates Program is funded by California utility customers and administered by Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas®) and supported by the state’s other investor-owned utilities (IOUs), Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E®), Southern California Edison Company (SCE®) and San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E®), under the auspices of the California Public Utilities commission through a contract awarded to Energy Solutions. Program funds, including any funds utilized for rebates or incentives, will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until such funds are no longer available.
